want to do with your life in 2020? What are your New Year’s Resolutions?

goes with the flow?

need to wait until New Year to make a resolution(s) for your life!
New Year is an excellent
occasion to make right what went wrong last year.
Don’t you agree?
You likely had too much on your
plate from the previous year, too many goals, too many unfinished projects and
too many disappointment from the people around you.
Think about your hobbies,
attitudes, personal experiences, the company of friends you keep, the things
that elude you in 2018, and the things you could not achieve.
Regardless of the hurdles you
encountered, the troubles you faced and late-night without achieving anything.
Focus on your goal(s) this New Year.
What do you want to change in
your life?
You can try to make yourself
better by getting rid of your bad habits.
My
New Year Resolutions is throwing away the less important stuff, and focusing on
the important stuff that can bring a change to my life in 2020.
Let’s face it, we can’t just
take away our daily hobbies, friends and attitudes with a single swoop!
That’s the reason why we need
to do our New Year resolutions the right way in 2020.
It does not matter if you are
doing New Year resolution as a student,
a worker or someone who don’t know how
to write New Year resolution.
What matter is, you are doing New Year resolution right now!
After making your resolution,
the next agenda is following it up!
To follow it, you need to avoid
previous mistakes.
Take a different approach to
your problems, make it a habit to solve one problem time and remain within
feasible New Year resolutions.
Doing a New Year resolution is simply changing one’s attitude, mindset by
setting achievable goals for a year!
What
is your New Year Resolution?
Whenever the phrase New Year
Resolution is said, it is a promise made by an individual to a better self.
It is a serious effort to do
something within a period of 12 months that can better their life.
However, these days, New Year
Resolutions are usually lame and unachievable.
Because, instead of making a resolution
to achieve a goal, you set so many goals that can’t be realized.
Then you blame the world for
your failure and broken dream(s).
Some common New Year’s
resolutions are;
- Love God more
- Make money online.
- Become an artificialintelligence specialist
- Get a job.
- Own a Lamborghini/car
- Own a beautiful home in Abuja/Banana Island in Lagos
- Get married
- Becoming a twitter/facebook influencer
- Start a new date
- Give birth to a baby
- Get an international passport to travel out of Nigeria for good!
- Get a boy/girlfriend
- Make more friends.
- Hang out with friends
- Meet celebrity
- Becoming a better person
- High grades.
- Clean skin.
- Peace of mind
- Good career
- Financial stability
All these are good goals,
regardless of what your desires for 2020 are, I believe if you can fall asleep
with love
and forgiveness
in your heart and wake up full of God Grace, this is also a
New Year resolution.
To some people here in Nigeria,
they think New Year resolution is all about smoking weed and wearing high
heels.
I’m sorry, a resolution is not
about weed and heels. It about becoming a better person in life.
Today, I’m going to be helping
any person or group of persons interested in learning to reach his/her goals
for the year 2020!
Here are the tips you need to
follow;
Evaluate
Last Year’s Resolutions.
To be successful in 2020, you
need to reevaluate last year’s resolution critically and analytically!
- You will want to ask yourself the following questions;
- Did I reach my 2018 New Year goals?
- What where my struggles, hurdles strength and my weakness?
- Did I focus too much on a particular goal and never achieved it?
- Did I lose sight of my initial goals and start pursuing a new goal?
- What did I do wrong along the line?
- What should I focus this year and how should I go about it?
Give a thought on the previous
year resolutions, find what works and what did not for you and why.
This will help you reset your
goals for the year 2020 so you can become successful in realizing a fulfilled
year.
Deciding
on Smart New Year Resolutions for 2020
Before you start judging people based on what their New Year’s resolutions are, please keep this in mind
What you consider precious may not have value before another
After all, as humans, we have different goals,
values and beliefs in life.
Decide by
picking the smallest goal you have set for yourself and try achieving it in
a stipulated time frame.
Some New Year resolution are
smart and some are not.
Therefore, SMART resolutions are those that are;
Definitive
Define and narrow done what
your goals are. Device means of achieving these definitive goals. Remove
practices, attitudes, behaviour and association that may hinder the realization
of these goals.
Quantifiable
Can you progress, development
and success be measured? Make sure that all goals can be quantified within the
stipulated time.
Time
Any goal that can’t be achieved with a short
time is a long period goal.
But since you are making a New Year resolution,
then the goal(s) must be achieved within the year or before the runs out.
Define and stick to the time-table for each goal to be measured.
As soon as you have made a
resolution, it must be definitive, quantifiable and achievable in the time allocated to it.

mapped, studied and reevaluated to achieve the set goal(s).

that there are no challenges in a perfectly laid down plans.

Down the Goals (break down your 2020) into Tiny Pieces
Challenges come in different
packages and different sizes.
Therefore, to face this
challenge and come out successful, you need to narrow it down to tiny
pieces that you can handle.
Stop considering how to the
enormity of the challenge and how you keep wallowing about the setback it’s
bringing and start thinking of how to;
- Divide it into smaller parts.
- Chose the easiest and begin with it.
- Decide the best approach towards solving the problem.
- Proceed with caution.
Commit to the challenge and be
optimistic about the solution you are applying to conquer the challenge.
Divide your resolutions
accordingly to the months of the year and start tackling them.
Keep a mental and documented record of your process, procedures,
failures and success.
For challenges, you can’t
handle or could not resolve, add-them to your today-list for the next month.
Keep
a Progress Report throughout the Year
Regular and consistent daily,
weekly or monthly keeping track of
progress could go a long way into motivating you to become vigilant towards
failure.
Once you have successfully
achieved a goal, check for its relevance and over roll contribution towards
realizing other goals for the year.
Accepting
defeat and Rejoicing in Success
Failure is a
part of success, the sooner you understand, accept and think for the solution,
the better!
It is impossible to live
without failing, but at every junction of failure, it opens an opportunity of learning, adapting and evolving!
Understanding the failure
brings of growth and development is the key that opens the doors for success.
After every failure, create
habits or attitudes that will help you stay focus on your goal(s).
Find ways to stay motivated
with your goals for 2020 by never quitting, but reinforcing, restrategizing and
engaging the challenge with optimism.
On a Final
Note

achieve your 2020 goals.
Don’t!

towards doing 2020 New Year resolution the right way and evaluate the past and
strategize the present to become successful.
